PIANO KEYBOARD : Note

Change bass and lead notes at same time.
You can change bass note and lead note separately with two fingers :
keep a note pressed and change only the lead note with the other finger.

JOYPAD : Specials

Press the arrows one after the other to trigger a special sound

  • Tornado Tremolo : ▲ ▲ ▲

GREEN LEDS : Loops

Press button to activate / desactivate loop.

Play a sound once.

  • Short press  : play sound on-beat

BLUE LEDS : Lead sound

Change lead sound.

  • TUBE and GROWL are monodic sounds.
  • FUZZ and SHINE are polyphonic sounds.

PURPLE LEDS : Rhythm

Switch to a different rhythm for the bass or the lead.
The number of the rhythm is shown on the bottom screen.

ORANGE LEDS : Presets

Change all loops at same time.

  • Short press : load preset
  • Long press  : save preset

Some musical knowledge is needed to make the tutorials easier to understand. What you generally want to do is have the melody 2, 4, or an octave of notes above the the bass a lot of the time. Of course, music isn't limited to strict rules; you can write music any way you want, based on what you feel or on inspiration. The tutorials are just there to help you find matching notes.

Speaking of making music, what process do you use to make your music? I usually think of the melody and bass together, and put them on the TBM. With my 'Birthday,' I had the melody already, and I had to find the bass that matched with it. With 'TBM is a Dancer,' I had both the melody and the bass, but during the part with my own melody, I built it off of the bass.
